Steelers Name Starting Quarterback Officially

There is no longer any doubt that Mitchell Trubisky is the starting quarterback for the Steelers.

Pittsburgh has unveiled their Week 1 depth chart, with Trubisky listed as the starting quarterback.

Mason Rudolph and Kenny Pickett, a rookie, are behind him.

Trubisky has been with the first unit for the whole summer and was made a Steelers captain earlier today, so it was thought he would be the starting quarterback.

From 2017 through 2019, Trubisky passed for 10,609 yards, 64 touchdowns, and 37 interceptions for the Chicago Bears.

The previous season, the former No. 2 overall pick served as Josh Allen's backup in Buffalo.

Now, he has another opportunity to lead an NFL offence, at least until it is determined that Pickett is ready to take over.

Sunday vs the Cincinnati Bengals will mark Trubisky's regular season debut for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
